A few shots from the Oregon Airshow

Postby Mark1 » September 30th 2018, 11:24pm

Went to the Oregon Airshow this weekend. Got some passes for Saturday, only to be reminded that one of my nephews was getting married that day. Truth be told, I'd much rather spend the day watching airplanes. We all do what we gotta do to keep peace in the family so I left the airshow early Saturday. My nephew (who more than once in this process offered to go to the airshow with me instead) then went and got me some passes for Sunday so I could see the whole thing. I did get to spend a couple hours visiting with codguy who drove down for the show on Saturday. So here's a few pictures from the weekend.

Starting off with the rarely seen two-handed wrist shot. Cod is wearing a nicely finished SWI chrono, me the Tudor Hydronaut.

The stars of the show. The Canadian Forces aerobatic demonstration team the Snowbirds. The theme of the whole show this year was the 60th anniversary of NORAD, so there were a lot of Canadians there this weekend.

Great photos. Fun stuff no matter how you slice it. Particularly cool when you don't expect this sort of thing.

Great shots! And, a mini-WL GTG!
I checked you out, and I now want you to take the journey to lick my taint. It's small, but vast.

Thanks for sharing these pics (Mark's camera setup is tits).
The Oregon Airshow (Hillsboro Oregon) is truly a nice venue, if close enough, well worth the trip.

I had an enjoyable time (of course being a aviation guy) and always nice to meet up with Mark1 when I have the chance.

And then there was Lt Col Dick Cole whom was in attendance at the show, the last remaining member of the infamous B-25 Doolittle Raid.

A salute from me goes out to Walmart whom provided free parking, admission, VIP chalet access & catered meal to us military vets! Awesome being able to sit amongst some of the very finest this country has to offer.

Thanks for mentioning that Cod, an oversight on my part.
