You guys know what I've been saying for years:
They never did - because they couldn't. And now the whole world knows it.
Gotta be honest - this is my second favorite moment I've had since joining here, ranking only an eyelash behind the SO/Hamilton stupidity. But I don't think the congrats should be only to Koi and I - virtually everyone here, members past and present, sounded the alarm years ago: Invicta is a blight on this hobby. Glad to be in that number. Thanks, Hawk; ya made my night tonight.
Dear Alain,
Thank you for your e-mail. In their advertisement they mention the declarations of origin which are issued by a Swiss chamber of commerce. We will have to contact them again, one of my colleagues will do this next week!
Kind regards

After the resurrection RW actually did an assist by posting the link in living color. Somebody dropped a Roscoe Coltrane meme. Prior to the resurrection it was the usual unsettled debate over Swissness which might be considered old stuff. The only new information early on was that the on-air talent was noting the change in marking and trying to bury the turd by suggesting it was due to the tightening FH specs in 2017. The implication being it was Swiss right up until the FH jacked another 10% into the equation which was, of course, bullshit as the damn product had never complied with even "pre-tightened" criteria.
I guess I don't really have much of a problem with an informed Invicta buyer - I mean if they know it's Chinese, that Flame Fusion is glass and that the top 10% of Swiss watchmakers have never heard of Eyal, what's the harm? It was uninformed Invicta buyers that made me grind my teeth - the ones that actually believed the horseshit.
