That's "Officina del Tempo" rotors. If you will.

Hah Leviathan. I saw someone on a Youtube video defend Invicta by saying their Leviathan is on par with Rolex, Omega, etc. and it uses the exact same Swiss movement.

Just a friendly bump for Lies' outstanding compedium of IWG foul-ups, required reading for anyone considering the brand - and particularly curious WGs who wander here just to find out what the "haters" are up to.

Thanks!
It's nice to see some of my gripes and suspicions cataloged. I would have to say the most offensive part is the blatant snake oil sales tactics.
And they have gotten worse and worse it seems over the past 5 years or so.
I try not to get to upset about it and I focus my attention more on vintage watches.

But if you buy a modern watch today, pretty much any watch that's not a uber high end, hand made piece, it's either Chinese or ETA.
I've seen some modern ETA movement, don't think I own any actually, but they don't look to me like they are manufactured any better than most of the Chinese movements. In fact, their machinery was probably sold to them by the same multi-national industrial manufacturing equipment supplier.

Six of one, half dozen of the other.
Buy something vintage if you want a nice watch. Even then, you'll have to do a lot of research to be assured you are selecting a quality time piece. The Swiss didn't just start deceptively marketing watches 6 years ago. It's sort of a cultural tradition.

A bump, just for whatever reason, of one of the great threads in the history of this forum.

I believe I bought that OTV Iforce with that bead blasting finish. It had a yellow dial.

What a piece of utter shit, I think I only wore it twice before giving it away.

Ya, live, ya learn. I still have a handful of IWG tucked away in a drawer; I wear them on what I refer to as "car wash day."

I own 99 dollar G-shocks that keep better time than any Rolex.
But time-keeping isn't the point in comparing Invicta with legit manufacturers. Materials, fit , finish, in house manufacture , provenance, warranty service, and longevity are more important than a couple of seconds.
In these categories Invicta fails miserably. Years ago they were a value, Now they suck ass.

Rolex also fails the "Bold Presence" test as well. If you want millionaires to grab your wrist in amazement, then invicter is where its at, baby!

BTW, I googled "hydromax" and this was #1. Sadly appropriate.

TZ, every time I see that pic, I still can't believe it. The entire "IWG experience" in one crazily tasteless photo.

After seeing this thread continue: Have IWG FUBARs slowed down of late, or has their forced move to mostly quartz stuff improved their "quality" by osmosis? I know nobody on earth can get their IWG watches fixed or get parts, but have there been nearly as many out-and-out disasters of late?

In my defense, I did not buy this watch. And this is the only time I wore it.

Knowing what we know now, the only thing that should be forwarded to the Florida AG's office is a subpoena.
