I really like the Certina DS Action Diver. I used to be a frequent WUS lurker so I actually enjoyed that thread since I'd imagine the Certina would be praised there quite a bit when i get to buy that piece

You'd like to know? You really want to come on claiming to have not seen a single discussion on this topic before?

Probably one of the more active topics at WUS. I see this thread resurface quite often.

Some people oppose homages in general, some don't.

I guess most of this forums oppose homages then? Especially those of the sub?

Too bad I still kind of want that Certina. I just don't understand why that WUS thread evokes so much terror here!

People can parse all aspect of the discussion to find exceptions and grey areas, blah, blah. blah. I'm uninterested in the apologetics that invariably all leads to some version of I just want stuff and have no particular ethics about it.

I support creativity and originality in design. At best Sub homages are tragically boring, and at worst homages generally are a way to make money off someone elses work. I have little further to add beyond that.

Yep, up and running now.
It was supposedly hacked by the mods of the (F10) Russian Watch Forum...

That's your opinion and it's fine and dandy with me.

What I don't get is SO MANY watches that show up here owned by members of WL are sub homages, I've seen huge pictures of Borealis diver posted by the OP himself. Borealis! That's a classic sub homage. Hypocrisy much?

Wear what you want and calm the fuck down. Probably your best bet. You've been argumentative since the get-go here.

No one cares what you own and wear, as long as you enjoy it.

Have a good day.

You're new here. Perhaps try and read a lot of archived posts and see how long time members actually act before bumping your gums.

That's not just here, it's typical forum etiquette.

Not sure why you think the Borealis looks like a sub? It has a much thinner bezel, different hands and so on.

Quite frankly your comment about this forum or members here being "in terror of WUS" is insulting to say the least. I have nothing but contempt for that forum and so do many here. Many of us have called WUS out more than once. There knee jerk response to is to ban you even if what you say if posted elsewhere. A forum where many have their heads up their asses.

Different bezel, much thinner, by about 50%, different hands (all three) different markers, larger, I can go on.
