I have some Galaxy tablets that I like, several friends have Galaxy phones they swear by. I don't see why a Galaxy watch wouldn't be good. I like Android, they have some nice apps, you should be able to have some fun with it.

Very interested in your perceptions once you've had it a while. When I was in Shenzhen at the CWCF, there was a day long industry summit, and about half was discussion of the impact of "smart wearable tech" on the modern horology industry, the challenges but more so the potential useful advances.

My phone is Android... and I wish they made a good desktop OS...I think I could live with that.

They do make one, based on Linux, Chrome OS.

But looks like the new "Pixel C" laptop from Google will be running full Android OS?

That clasp doesn't look very secure at least what is shown in the pic. I would be curious if friction Between ss and rubber would work well.

I have had the watch now for 4 days,I am quite disappointed in it.Its strap is small but comfy. Its brightness is not enough to see the time in the daylight, its function of "ok google" functions reasonably well, but.in my work environment its impossible to use.It linked up to the phone fine but,it there is a significant lag time from when a email or text hits the phone then goes to the phone.Bottom line its a ok watch for a sometimes use,on a weekend where, there isn't the distraction of work noise and oil.I would not recommend a purchase of a Samsung smart watch...I would hesitate to buy a apple watch knowing what I know now

My wife won one last year at her Christmas party. She traded it in for a really cool Dyson vacuum cleaner. No regrets.

At least you saved yourself the cost of a cool leather strap.
Seriously though, my brother got me a smart watch, a couple years back, for christmas.
I love gadgets, but could never get the hang of it. Screen was too small to read, the lag in notifications was slow etc... I just couldn't get the hang of it.

At first I was going to call you a homo.

But upon reading your '4th Day Reflections' it became abundantly clear you were just curious.

Good man.

Nothing wrong with being a Homo. Buying a smartwatch though...
