Hoodwinkee and the Colour Orange

Looks like the Donkeys need a lesson in optics...

The Doxa designers and engineers tested various iterations of their Sub 300T in the deep waters of Lake Neuchâtel. They came to the conclusion that the orange dial was the most legible at 30 feet below the surface.

IN WHAT FUCKING UNIVERSE?!

Though the orange dial was born of function...

...it's a disfunction. Yeah, maybe you didn't know that, Donkeyboyos.

Oh, wait, you did!
Contrary to the belief current when the first Doxa SUB was designed, that orange would be the most visible color during a dive, it turns out orange actually becomes a dull grey in as little as 15 or 20 feet of water, thanks to the fact that as you descend, water filters out red and yellow light first.

By Jove, their take on things is as consistent as the plot of a Clive Cussler novel...

I believe the notion was debunked, in depth, here a few years ago.

Yep. But apparently, the Donkeys are and aren't aware of orange dials being rubbish in terms of legibility on a dive... Well, they ARE aware of it when they're not selling a SUB, and have a sudden lapse of that awareness when they are selling a SUB. Which is, like, the Donkeys being Donkeys.

The only thing the Hondickee guys dive on is the laps of their sponsors.
I checked you out, and I now want you to take the journey to lick my taint. It's small, but vast.

In the words of erstwhile Bond star Pierce Brosnan: "Ewwwwwww."
I bought a dive watch from them that literally had “dive” in the name. The instructions said not to dive with it - it was only meant to LOOK like a dive watch. It was also fast by more that a minute per day. Garbage. Never again. - IWG buyer on Reddit

Bedlam debunked that notion squarely into the ground.

Where the hell is that guy, anyway?
