More 360s of Fenghuang...

A few more 360s...by the way, Watchlords is visible easily in China. No VPN needed.

As usual, click the link, choose the view where it says "fisheye" (upper right) and move with mouse or finger, depending...

One of the many bridges, the turbulence behind me from a small change in river level...

The alley where my hotel is. The place with the sheets hanging outside...

Just a minute upriver from my hotel...

And a bridge 15 minutes from my hotel, in the other direction from the first photo...

I just finished taking a 35 minute walking video, and about 100 photos. Fenghuang is pure gold for a photo buff, and folks are friendly as heck :-).

So here's where I'm having lunch, at 3:40PM, Fenghuang time: pizza and "American" style coffee

Those are cool as hell- like how you get yourself in some of the shots.

Your art work from there and the stories centered around the people you've met there has changed my thinking about China a lot; I better understand and appreciate a very cool people steeped in tradition and family aside from what I think about the Chinese government and communism in general.

Get rid of religions and governments and the world might stand a chance.

First: thanks, everyone, for your kind comments.

3Flushes wrote:Those are cool as hell- like how you get yourself in some of the shots.

3F: I have to hold that camera because I didn't bring much of a tripod, so it's difficult not to be in these 360 shots. Normally, I hate selfies, and if you check my still photos, I almost never appear :-) Still, kind of you to notice. It's the one thing I don't like about them.

As for:
...a very cool people steeped in tradition and family...

A very cool people, friendly as all get out, helpful to foreigners to a degree that always surprises and pleases me, and re:

Yup--that's why I'm the anarchist, here ;) As I've quoted before...

"Wars are seldom caused by spontaneous hatreds between peoples, for peoples in general are too ignorant of one another to have grievances and too indifferent to what goes on beyond their borders to plan conquests. They must be urged to slaughter by politicians who know how to alarm them." H.L. Mencken

Very best to you all!

As usual, Mr. A-T's travelogues are the best in This Thing Of Ours. Bravo!
I checked you out, and I now want you to take the journey to lick my taint. It's small, but vast.

Not at all sure of that. Have you seen bedlam's photography, to name just one recent travelogue post?

Thanks, John! I deny "best"...but I'm more than pleased you (and others) are kind enough to recognize my efforts. I really do wish more folks could experience this place first hand, just so you could feel how friendly people are here if approached with a smile. That's all it takes.
