My Best Watch Storage Solutions

Postby Racer-X » February 8th 2019, 6:59pm

"I used to have two watches. Yes, two: one beater and one dress watch for special occasions. They lived in my nightstand, and that was that. Then I discovered the watch hobby, and it rapidly spun out of control. Two became six became twelve and soon I had more watches than any one person could possibly need, an equally stupid number of straps, and an ever-expanding mass of ancillary stuff like spring bars and buckles. All of it needed to be stored somewhere, and it had to be done in a manner that allowed me to see everything and access it easily. It has been a challenge, but after a few years, a couple of false starts, and some fine tuning, I’ve got a pretty good system. This is not an exhaustive list, and not every idea will work for everyone, but these are the watch organization, storage, and transport tips that work for me.""

Yikes!! I always thought the Time Bum operated like most of the interwebz ree-vooers, viz, he'd get free shit sent to him from the hapless micros, write some good shit about them (to keep the gravy train running on time), and then sell them on WUS, thus pocketing the proceeds to go towards his liquor fund. However, seeing all that shit in his Ikea drawers, it appears that he keeps 'em!! The mind reels.
I checked you out, and I now want you to take the journey to lick my taint. It's small, but vast.

The leather watch roll is nice and maybe the Pelican case, but that chest of drawers is something else.

Yea, I like the leather roll and Pelican case as well. I especially like the Pelican case. I have a gun case that is similar, and it's a beast of a case, super tough.

Ladies and gentlemen, this guy has let himself go.

Regarding Pelican, they have let themselves go also, too. I have relied on them in various sizes for camera gear and related paraphernalia for years. They have turned, particularly the latches to crap, and the lids warp. I've gone back to Haliburton for Cameras and glass and I started using UK Ultra Boxes for the rest- heavier and all around made better than Pelican, excellent handles and latches, pick and pluck foam on the larger sizes... for about 25% less $ MSRP. They have some cool compact cases that are thin and easily slipped into a carry-on, briefcase or backpack, or purse. I roll up what I want to take in their own Crown Royale bag, tie it off and pop them in the case- perfect.

I like the rolls- the ones in the OP look nice and there are some nice ones around.

His deepest need was that people should like him. An admirable trait, that... In a spaniel, or a whore.
