It's really quite simple, the same thing happened with cigars.

The manufacturers will continue to raise prices until people stop paying.

In the meantime, they will continue to dump stale merchandise (which there seems to be more and more of all the time)through the O/L and B & M grey market cheaply.

In doing so, they relieve themselves of warranty obligations, a fairly expensive part of the final cost to the consumer, and dump the hardware, so to speak, at a decent profit.

Flushes' second graph sums things up beautifully.

Tell you what: Been watch shopping a lot the past few weeks, and here's the scoop in NYC: Old stuff is subject to discounts at chain or multi-brand watch stores, but prices are just crazy high in the boutiques. The 2016 sales slump hasn't resulted in lower prices on new models - the big brands all seem higher than ever.
Since many people weren't in lockstep with his beloved cheese box shit watch brand, The Cruise King ran off blowing snot bubbles, far away from his once-beloved forum. Here, eat this mudpie, Paw Paw. It tastes like a Hershey bar. Go ahead, dig in.
