Two new ones...

Two new ones...

Postby AntFarm » December 26th 2017, 9:44am

Two new ones for me and I'm working on a third. I can't figure it out. I'm trying to reduce and somehow I just keep buying. Anyway, to begin with I bought this Seiko 4s15-6000. I saw it on Gage and loved it. It really is a cool watch. Love the hour hand and the red Alpinist. It hacks and winds and the stem is really tight. inner bezel turns smoothly. I believe the bracelet may be original but I'm not sure because it doesn't have a signed clasp. It does look like the pics I've seen online. Maybe someone else has that answer. Here you go...

The second is a GeneQua PADI... The original by Orient from around 2003. I had a blue one several years ago and sold it. I found this black which is in like new condition. It has a kinetic movement and killer lume. I love the dial and the bezel on this one. I also like the strap with the PADI badges. Reminiscent of the Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine. Of course it is nothing like a Ulysse Nardin. Anyway here it is.

This was my blue one. I'm trying to source another.

Both nice looking watches. You can never go wrong with either brand. Was not aware that Orient still offered the PADI version today.

Astounding - usually, with that much writing on the dial, I'd usually say it would be too busy - but that Seiko looks mint. There's an unusual pair to end the year with; nice job!
A tale of six Seikos (two Kinetics, two autos, two Solar): FIVE of them have disintegrated, three while being stored. Please, explain to me that whole "bang for the buck" thing again.
