Hello Everyone

Hello Everyone

Postby johnywatchman » December 29th 2012, 4:46pm

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ! Best of health and happiness in 2013.

I'm new. Fifty year old male. Avid outdoorsman, hunt and fish. I'm looking for a very large and heavy watch. Trying to keep it under 700$. I like the all black look. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've looked at Invicta ( I read some negative issues already) , Boschett and Deep Blue. Thanks for all your help.

Regards,

John

"very large and heavy"

Think it's time for an exorcism

All together "the power of Christ compels you"

Oh boy!

Very large and heavy? Try a megalodon, nice quality for a Chinese cased boutique diver. You will probably have to bust the $700 mark but just a little.

Define very large and heavy in your eyes.

Well I would say at least 50mm and 20mm thick case. Maybe 300 gr + weight.

Thank you

A Meg would fit that bill. Just under 50mm but easily 20 thick. 2824, 1st and 2nd gen have fantastic lume and packaging. 3rd gen lume went from green to blue and a slightly less concentration and cheesy packaging. Occasionally a pvd gen 1or 2 comes up for sale on watch recon. Only 100 of the gen 1 and 150 of the gen 2 with only about 30-40% of those being pvd. Nice watches and well balanced for their size. I have owned near 20 of them in the past.

You won't find anything that large and heavy in the line ups of the brands you listed.

BTW, I don't usually welcome new members so take the info I just gave as a welcome. Image

Citizen Ecozilla on a SS bracelet easily fits your requirements - and well under 7 bills.

48mm w/o crown
20mm thick
And mine weighs in at 257 gm sized for a 7.25 wrist

I would also say go with an Eco-Zilla. Citizen is a great brand, I have one and love it.

I'd say an Invicter Venom would be right up your alley, if you will. Thick as a fucking brick, available in "as black as the Earl of Hell's riding boots" PVD finish, plenty of "road hugging" (slogan worked well for Ford!) weight, at least 50mm of testosterone pumped, lubricious female attracting wrist coverage, Swiss-ish made, as manly as a pair of functional testicles and a 5 year non-coverage warranty. Why the name itself - VENOM - just drips with "don't tread on me" machismo. Pay no attention to those metrosexual haters (this fucking forum is full of 'em) with their lightweight, effeminate 40-49mm Eurotrash watches - or those slick anime-loving wannabe Japanese fanbois with their Seikos, Citizens and Orients (remember Pearl Harbor). Man up - get a Venom, godammit.

I think you should stick with Inshita since it seems their design fits your bill. Let us know how that shit pans out and clarify for us of the new and improved claim of A-Low's Customer Service when you receive your new watch with one hand missing.

Otherwise, welcome.

What are you, fucking nuts over here? 20mm thick case? You want some fucking antennas and periscopes sticking out of it, too? You think a big, thick watch will stop a motherfucking bear from eating your ass when you're in the Great Outdoors? Jesus Christ!
I checked you out, and I now want you to take the journey to lick my taint. It's small, but vast.

An Eco-zilla in all black??? Are you crazy or what? Here at the Lords you will kneel and ask forgiveness at the altar of Citizen for even fucking suggesting such a thing! An IP black Eco-zilla? Such a thing is unthinkable!

A plated watch for the "outdoors"

I guess you would want to look in the Fashion Jewelry section of Cabelas

Horse Feathers, I don't know whether to shit or go blind with this fellow. Is he nuts or what? A black stainless band for the Eco-zilla? This is infamy! I don't know if we should take him out back and put one in his ear or embrace him.

Not that I am aware of unless you are thinking of the Inshita Venom while spanking at the picture of Mongo.

Hmmm, with a name like "johnywatchman" (Johny with one "n") I don't know. His name sounds like a mobster but I doubt he has the smarts to be a made man (ex. If we tell him to "go get your fucking shine box" he would ask if it comes in black). I'm thinking a quick "hunting trip" to the NJ Pine Barrens would put us all out of our misery

I'm afraid you're right, HF. We'll have to go and put this boy in the ground. I'll pull the Grand Marquise up to the back door. Do you have any lime? I'm out of fucking lime over here.

Lime works well for equine urine - horse piss ! Put it down, then some dirt, then the straw. Horses love that .

Do you boys like the taste of Deer meat ?
