Doxa Sub 300 Aqua Lung Edition: Hands-On Review

Postby koimaster » January 17th 2018, 4:53pm

“For the love of God, talk me down off this ledge…”

That was the text I sent Brian. I followed it with a screen grab of the Doxa Sub 300 Black Lung Limited Edition. I sent both just before noon last October 1st, the Sunday morning after the watch had been released for sale at midnight.

Brian’s response? “I bought at 12:26am.” He proved it with a screenshot of his receipt.

How do you argue with that?

In fairness to Ed Estlow who is the writer of this article I put this into the Asian forum since there is ZERO PROOF that doxa is made in Switzerland but I am fair so I am posting this despite my reservations about the zombie brand.

This watch is probably pretty popular among coal miners.

The nickname does seem unfortunate.

Do you really think so given the dive watch collecting frenzy created way back in the 1960's when Doxa changed the logo from black and yellow on the first 10 or 12 made to just the black outline on the rest?
