RADO Coupole Classic

Postby Racer-X » October 4th 2017, 6:18pm

by Felix Scholz "One of the great paradoxes of the Swiss watch industry is that, broadly speaking, it is locked into a cycle that demands shiny new watch releases (often referred to as novelties) on a yearly basis. Pretty much without exception, these are all watches that are often intended to last a generation or three. What this means is that many watch brands continually offer new case materials, dial colours or combinations of complications to tempt us to change our wristwear. It’s a strong-willed watch lover indeed who can resist this siren call, but really, the latest is not always the greatest. Sometimes it’s a better play to go for timeless, and stylish."

Well that's about perfect. I say, that might be my next watch depending on what the real life price ends up being in the upcoming months.

Rado's one of those brands I don't consider often, but that one is really different. Dial is killer.
Since many people weren't in lockstep with his beloved cheese box shit watch brand, The Cruise King ran off blowing snot bubbles, far away from his once-beloved forum. Here, eat this mudpie, Paw Paw. It tastes like a Hershey bar. Go ahead, dig in.

That is one big-ass power reserve.
I checked you out, and I now want you to take the journey to lick my taint. It's small, but vast.

For me the PR over-powers what otherwise is a subtle and interesting design.

Naw - it's got one - just above the RADO logo.

I really like that power reserve indicator. On a dial of such simplicity, a small one would look somewhat strange. Well, at least in my opinion it would.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

No, I'm just being honest about what I think of it. Then again, honesty and madness are often not so different from each other, so I guess that's one way of looking at it.

Well, you wouldn't be yourself if you didn't!

I wonder if it's the scrotal obsession of the Dirtbox persona sometimes letting itself known? I mean, breaking balls, cooking fat on the balls - be it some correlation there?
