Tan line

Well it doesn't happen often but while running errands I didn't grab a watch. Looked down at my wrist and there it was like the moon in the sky a giant white wrist. This Florida boy needs to take off his watch more often at the beach. That is all!

I believe it's simply referred to as a "watch mark."

Having just spent a week sailing off the coast of Dalmatia, every day in the sun all day long, I now have a watch mark and a light bandanna (worn as a headband) mark - guess that's the problem when one has (fairly) long hair and a complete inability to go anywhere without a watch (seriously, leaving home without a watch is like leaving without the pants on).

Here's the culprit behind the watch mark:

I'm nutty for tan lines, but it has nothing to do with watches.
Since many people weren't in lockstep with his beloved cheese box shit watch brand, The Cruise King ran off blowing snot bubbles, far away from his once-beloved forum. Here, eat this mudpie, Paw Paw. It tastes like a Hershey bar. Go ahead, dig in.

Rarely happens to me either. Captured this for WURW a couple years ago for just such an eventuality. Hairs don't grow there anymore.

Two years till I get me license for these. This, save for drinking and having fun, was also intended to give me some hours of experience required to apply for a sea yacht helmsman's license. Still got a radio operator and navigator courses ahead of me, then a theory exam, then a maneuvers exam.
But when I do get it, why not.

Well, the boat was nice - a Bavaria 38. They're comfortable, but the problem with them is that they handle worse than a mule with a limp. When you're turning the wheel, it's more a plea than a command to that thing. But I did squeeze 7.5 knots out of it on a properly windy day. The week was great, only one evening spent sober (couldn't drink during the day, could I...) - guess I can call it time bloody well spent, then.
