Question
What’s the perceived value of the Glycine brand now the brand has sold? Yours seems positive
I’ve owned a few in the past but for the last few years I’ve been absent from the market
The moon phase on your list sure looks good, but looks are deceiving
It’s the ownership that’s makes me pause
Thanks in advance. I’ll do a bit more research as well.

Good morning, sir..well, I'm no expert, but my gut feeling is they are of the same build quality level of Hamilton, Victorinox, Mido, Oris, & CW and a small step up from Steinhart(which I like, as well)...

It also seems as of Invicta has yet to change(lower) Glycine's build quality..I don't think they will appreciate in value over time, but at these very low prices, I don't think we will(would) lose much $ on them(if anything at all)...I think they make for good values for 'daily wearers'..

Here are some WUS links where others are concerned with their future, as well..

Invicta haters often mention the winged logo and some garishly designed Glycines as proof that Invicta has influenced the brand. Even though the designs mentioned and the logo both pre-date the Invicta involvement with the brand. Glycine has never been a stranger to large over the top designs. The 2 "recent" Glycines I have are the same as the older ones I once owned.

Generally most of these same people can't even be bothered enough to do cursory research. The fucking Lalo said he was going to hands
off. I haven't seen an ounce of evidence to suggest otherwise. So I say fuck it. If I see a Glycine that I want, it'll be on my chubby wrist pdq.

Unless grey market, does it still puts money in lalo's pocket?

You bet, and when you think about it, the grey market ones do, too. That's a line I refuse to cross, and that's that. Now, don't get me wrong - I wouldn't blast anyone for picking up a new Glycine watch. It's my choice, because I consider IWG a seedy blight on the hobby - but if others choose not to be as stridently anti-Invicta as I am, that's all well and good. Everyone here seems to know what they're getting into, unlike a couple of former members who willfully chose the see-no-evil mindset.

I have to admit to being a little surprised that Eyal has not yet Invictized the Glycine lineup. That said I personally wouldn't buy any more new Glycines now.

I have a pre-G that needs new bezel and cost me my seat at Red Bar. Ms Tikker is interested in it, anything that diverts her from riding elephants in Sumatra. I'm shipping it to the spa this week and not sending Ms T for some personal Zaratsu work.
