Bambino in the house!

Bambino in the house!

Postby NorthCountry » July 14th 2018, 4:59pm

Got this in just this afternoon. Initial impressions are highly favorable. Truth be told I think the strap is a bit stiff out of the box. Hoping it gets better with time. I think you all know the watch. Its the Bambino Generation 2 iirc. Quick down and dirty shot.

My wife asked to look at it and even she was blown away by how much watch can be had for so little money. She said,"I may have to borrow this one." Told her at 40mm it'll look great so yeah, anytime.

I like it. It has this "early 1960s" thing to it.

I concur Mr. Racer. Personally, I think the white dial would be the ying to the blacks yang and puts it in second place.

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen.

Apart from it's appalling name, that's a sweet-assed watch. I have no idea why Timex Marlins cost more than these.
I checked you out, and I now want you to take the journey to lick my taint. It's small, but vast.

That'd be because Orient makes a lot of interesting stuff, none of which they'd call extraordinary in order to charge more for it, and Timex sees it fit to charge a lot more for something that's not as boring as some 99% of what they make nowadays.

Beyond stupid name but it is a memorable one. Timex is just capitalizing on the retro thing and that is ok. I was seriously considering a Marlin but the Orient was on sale for $119.00 at Massdrop. Plenty of versions too.
