New wartch

New wartch

Postby smellody » June 20th 2018, 9:31pm

Now that my watchmaker has me scared of service costs and I am down to a handful of watches (rolaxes), I decided I need a new swimming watch.

Are you ready?

Not sure if it is ISO, there are lots of words to read, but hopefully Communist Carl will approve:

It is called a "baby" tuna. Not sure about baby... it's huge.

Bought this one from my pal Jaw. It is a 50th anniversary or something.

Hopefully it will keep me submerged when I dive. I used to sink to the bottom of the pool, but have found buoyancy is winning these last couple of years.

Initial thoughts:

* great lume
* I can probably service it with a can opener
* bigger than a Rolex sub (world diver standard)
* has a rubber strap
* Jaw is cool
* if it leaks, I throw it away
* not 60 years old

So... I'll follow up with more words after I go swimming. It's hot as .... **** hell, so the hillbilly hot tub will be coming out soon.

Look at that, never thought I would see the day, or that watch again. I nearly bought it from jaw myself a while back. Congrats!

I checked you out, and I now want you to take the journey to lick my taint. It's small, but vast.

I never thought I would see that. There is something strangely right about that Rolex and Seiko sitting together on our resident lumberjack's wrist!

That is definitely bedlam approved

That ROLAX is cool. Strap is a couple of mm too wide though ;). The Seiko is mental. It’ll never leak.
