another new one

another new one

Postby nimbleboy » March 27th 2018, 6:45am

This is my second watch-news related purchase in the last month or so. (The last was an Alpinist.) I realize Fortis isn't dead and gone by any stretch, but the news of their bankruptcy/debt protection/whatever got me thinking about them again. I remember noticing this watch in my early days of watch browsing. Based on reviews and forums' reactions, its design is polarizing; obviously, I think it's handsome. I can't leave well enough alone and I took off the leather strap already. My replacement probably isn't permanent, but I like it well enough for now. It's too soon to tell for sure, but I think it's running pretty fast.

Awesome watch. Looks great on either strap. (but a tad greater on the leather)

Nice, Fortis makes a good watch. I'd hate to see them die off due to financial problems. As mentioned in the daily thread I have an older Spacematic with the ECO movement. It's basically a flux capacitor that charges when you wear it-or something like that. Congrats on your new one.

I like that one! It makes my dick hard.
I checked you out, and I now want you to take the journey to lick my taint. It's small, but vast.

Congratulations on an excellent purchase. I currently own two Fortis watches, both automatic chronographs with the ETA/Gadzoux 7750 movements. I love them both, and have always felt that the Fortis brand never got as much love as it should've, though they can admittedly be a bit on the eccentric side. I'm very fond of the Spacematic model, mainly because of the rather unique and somewhat pleasing-to-the-eye (at least to MY nut-ball eYe, anyhow) layout of the numerals around the dial. Added to that, it's nominally an aviator's watch, which is a style that I've always been attracted to. All it needs now is a lovely dark tan Horween leather strap... :-o ;) ...my vote, anyhow. 8-) I do hope you enjoy the unholy HELL out of that awesomely kewl wartch!!

(And pray like hell with the rest of us that Fortis can get restructured before Eyallallo decides he needs yet another genuine Swiss factory and a real Swiss company he can inbreed with his gaggle of sweaty-assed, bog-dwelling extra-chromosome brands... :???: )

You can't see it, but I'm tipping my cap.
Since many people weren't in lockstep with his beloved cheese box shit watch brand, The Cruise King ran off blowing snot bubbles, far away from his once-beloved forum. Here, eat this mudpie, Paw Paw. It tastes like a Hershey bar. Go ahead, dig in.
