INOX in the house

INOX in the house

Postby Rusty » March 5th 2018, 6:38pm

After the first of the year, TJ Maxx seemed to be overrun with Victorinox INOX watches. Several years ago, I bought the diver version on a sale at Jomashop. It was a brick of a watch and was promptly returned. And yet, the TJ Maxx sale interested me. However, here in the backwoods of upstate NY...where we have 4 TJ's within driving distance of me, the only crap they had were fashion watches and the ubiquitous Invicta wrist-clock selections. But today...well, today was my lucky day. I was out near the TJ's that I rarely visit and what did they have? Several INOX watches on bracelets and straps.

The little lady behind the counter did not have a clue so I gently passed along some info about this model and how it was tested by having army tanks drive over it and being frozen in a block of ice. The blue model on bracelet caught my eye and for $129 bucks (I actually had a $60 gift card) so it was $80 out of pocket.

Here are a few pix:

I like this original model better than the diver and while a chunky watch, it seems to fit better on my wrist. So far, I like it.

You've found favor with the Watch Gods, probably because of your good taste..

Funny you should ask. I got a good deal on a tank to go along with the waRtch.

Oh, and tanks for asking.

I bought the same model and color recently. Kind of a funky clasp but a real solid watch. Congrats.

INOX is just fine, and at that price, that one was a no-brainer. Good job scouting it out.
I would rather be seen wearing an Invicta than a Hublot - at least I can explain away the Invicta.

$129! They might as well give them away. A complete no brained at that price.

Ridiculous value at that price. Mine cost a bit more and I thought I got a good deal.
