Orbita Lighthouse Luxury LED Flashilight Flashlight
Model #f10111

Orbita’s Luxury LED Flashlights, powered by a high-energy rechargeable #18650 Lithium-Ion battery, deliver an unprecedented level of intense white light with great efficacy. The XLamp® LED emitters, made by CREE Inc. (a fine example of American technology) provide pure white light output and are life rated for 100,000 hours of operation. The LED is mounted in a machined and polished aluminum parabolic reflector, which also acts as a heat sink, and is protected by a sealed clear sapphire crystal lens which is scratch-proof and impact resistant. All structural components are machined from solid 18/8 stainless steel bar and there are no flimsy stamped metal or plastic parts. Choose from three distinctive series, each one offering several programmable operating modes. Multiple layers of unidirectional carbon fibers are woven in a 2×2 twill tubular pattern and impregnated with clear epoxy resin. Upon curing, the finished cylinder provides a beautiful exterior appearance. The Orbita Luxury L.E.D. Lighthouse Flashlight is equipped with a Light Emitting Diode (LED). The diode we use passes electrical current in one direction only, which allows it to emit intense white light, it is inherently reliable and easily provides over 100,000 hours of operation before failure. It also tolerates much higher shock and vibration loads than any incandescent light. You can look forward to years of dependable service. With an unused fully charged battery, you can count on 10 year shelf life. It will already be ready for emergency need. Unique tie-rod construction allows use as both a brilliant flashlight and a low power lantern. There are six (6) user-selectable lighting programs; High Beam, Low Beam, Defense Strobe, S.O.S. Signal, Lantern Mode and Beacon Mode. By softly pressing the glow-in-the-dark power button, or double clicking it, you can scroll through and select any one of the six modes of operation. Turn power on or off in any selected mode with a single click. A handy lantern base to stand the Flashlight upright is included. Choose full tie-bar Stainless, Carbon Fiber or one of several hand-turned exotic wood bodies. Diameter is 1 ¼” and length is 4 ¾”. Weight is 7 ounces. Light output is 350 lumens. Dustproof and Splash proof to IP54 Standard. Output is 350 lumens. Comes with brown leather flashlight case which secures to your belt.

That's pretty neat, A-T! Is it easy to clean out, or should I wear a rubber?

Think you should stick with your Fleshlight or what Flushes uses (an old Pringles can)

Very cool flashlight but I'll stick with my streamlight stylus pro

The streamlight stylus pro only gives off 24 or 48 lumens? is that correct?

Yep 48 lumens, but the brightness is consistent  (many models start off bright but decrease rapidly in an hour or so)

In real use it's bright as hell, fits in my pocket, runs forever on (2) AAA batteries and is almost indestructible

I say almost because I had one in my pocket helping a friend installing a clutch and ended up bending mine (the flashlight that is).

It still worked but when I showed it to the guy in NAPA he swapped it out for me, wasn't my intention just wanted to share how tough it was. He assured me the manufacturer will quickly reimburse him

Get this, it's a $20 item, the vendor support is amazing. You routinely see Paramedics, mechanics, etc carrying the Streamlight or Pro

Like I said, would love to have a $300 one, but I use mine almost daily along with a pocket knife

I've got 3 Surefires and something I picked up at Home Depot - you're right - not all lumens are created equal.

Though I would like to think I've gotten past the stage of paying for Surefire.

Hint: one massive bargain is buying C123s from Surefire - about 1/4 the cost of picking them up at a drugstore and the shelf life is long.
And the fact I'm still living rent free in his head makes me grin and giggle.

Good info Hawk. My 315 lumen Fenix uses a C123.
And it's quite luxurious with it's pouch and lanyard.

It remains unclear why I bought an M6 - probably Amazon while inebriated or something.

But one of those will take 6 of the C123s at a stroke so those "dozen boxes" look pretty good at under 2.00 a piece for the batteries.

The one I actually carry is a P2ZX which makes much more sense - no need to be hammered while purchasing.

With all due respect to my favored vendor AT it's not too hard to visualize a need for a tough as nails 500 lumen flashlight but "luxury" had never once crossed my mind.

But I used to sell chrome plated shovels for ground-breaking ceremonies so WTF - there's a place for a luxury damn near anything I would guess.

Mine were simple chrome jobs made by Rockwood in PA. - no they didn't sell for shit.

Come to think of it the gold plated keys offered by my lock manufacturer tended to elude my circle of clients.

That's what I get for doing mostly hotels, prisons and courthouses. But the stuff is out there and, I would suspect, not much more outlandish than a luxury flashlight.

My father used an Eveready flashlight from the time I was about five years old until the day he died. Used it on construction jobs, at home, at his office where the was the manager at a cement manufacturing plant.

Cost of flashlight when it was new in the 60s: About 49 cents - but I can't imagine what he spent on batteries over the years.
