YESTERDAY'S POTATOES

YESTERDAY'S POTATOES

Postby boscoe » May 13th 2015, 2:36pm

Just a few years back, Hamilton was all the buzz.
Now it seems colder than Ellen DeGeneres' snatch.
What happened?

Yes, before that micro brands and before that Zodiac. It goes in cycles.

Hamilton is ghey!

Probably just fashion, what is in one week is out the next. Kind of like the visitors AJC had, in and out!

Apart from the basic khaki 3 hander do they actually make any desirable watches?

Conservation, Fliegers, Jazzmsters all are great.

I don't care what's "hot"; still one of my favorite imprints. Funny, tho - when Hamilton misses, they miss by a mile, but their best stuff rings all my bells. Khaki, Ventura, Jazzmaster, Route 66, and a couple of oldies are all in my meager collection.
Since many people weren't in lockstep with his beloved cheese box shit watch brand, The Cruise King ran off blowing snot bubbles, far away from his once-beloved forum. Here, eat this mudpie, Paw Paw. It tastes like a Hershey bar. Go ahead, dig in.

Forgot about the Jizzmeister. Some of those are indeed pretty sweet.

Yup. Every so often, Hammy releases a really appalling piece of fucking shit. Interestingly, though, Hammy's one of those brands that Swatch got perfectly right (usually.) The Jazzmasters and Khakis are based on very traditional American styles. Right now, with Mad Men winding down, classic is probably out of fashion. The Hipster Duffuses who used to wear Hammies are probably rubbing a few out into their porkpie hats while waiting for their Apple wartches. But Classic is good; Classic doesn't use cables on the case; Classic isn't stupid fucking big; Classic means the whisper of Old Money (or, more likely, no money at all but one is still willing to keep up appearances); most importantly, Classic doesn't make your dick hurt when you pee because you dipped your wick into the wrong groin-hole.
I checked you out, and I now want you to take the journey to lick my taint. It's small, but vast.

The Khaki Field, Jazzmaster and Pan Europ are solid watches. They alone justify Hamilton as a watch company.
