Yema is back

Postby koimaster » June 8th 2017, 9:19am

Founded in 1948 by Henry Louis Belmont in Besançon, Yema aims to think, create, assemble and produce high-quality watches. The story tells that the name of the brand was born from the imagination of a teenager in a contest. Without knowing it, the student imagined a name that would become synonymous with watches of excellence in the French.

The evolution of the brand is marked by highlights: the anti-shock watch in the fifties; The "Superman" waterproof to 300 meters in 1963; The "Rallygraf" equipped with a tachometer for car enthusiasts in 1968; The "Spationaute" first French watch to fly in space with Jean-Loup Chretien in 1982; The "North Pole" which will accompany Nicolas Hulot and Hubert de Chevigny in the exploit of the North Pole in 1987 ... The mark pays tribute to the top athletes with its slogan "Yema the time of Heroes".

In 2004, Yema decided to return to its values and origins, becoming the Maison d'Excellence of French watchmaking. It is based on new collections based on three strong concepts: iconic watches, high technicality, elegant and sporty design.

In 2016 and 2017, Yema reissues its historical models: "Rallygraf", "Meangraf", "Landgraf", "Superman", "Spationaute" and "Pro Diver 300". Other equally emblematic models will appear in 2017, such as the "Superman" or the "Yachtingraf" ...

Prices seem reasonable enough. Site is in French, FFS.

Then there is this dude. Who chooses this guy to represent the brand?
