Arsenale Automatic Watch

Postby koimaster » September 15th 2017, 8:20am

Arsenale is inspired in the name and design by the Royal shipyard of the Serenissima Republic, known worldwide for the production of vessels and merchant ships. The finishes of the Arsenale 316L steel cases recall the metal processing employed in the construction of submarines and naval armaments in the past centuries, in particular:
• Arsenale Ardesia/Ardesia Cromo: the brushed and polished steel reflects the techniques employed in the Arsenale of Venezia during WWI (20th Century) for the production of submarines and warships

• Arsenale Ardesia PVD: the aged PVD finish recalls the metal processing of 17th century armaments, which made Arsenale the most renowned shipyard in the Old Continent. The edges of the watch are naturally scratched through a craft process, simulating aging.

The bezel rivets pay tribute to the workmanship shown in the pressure gauges of submarines while the domed sapphire crystal recalls the portholes. ... n=c71c142a

That bezel and dial = Panerai hommidge.

Guess I'm ambivalent. Yawn.

A tale of six Seikos (two Kinetics, two autos, two Solar): FIVE of them have disintegrated, three while being stored. Please, explain to me that whole "bang for the buck" thing again.
