I was never a big fan of tonneau cases, and I'd bet this one wears pretty big. This is one of those rare watches that would do better with no date.
I checked you out, and I now want you to take the journey to lick my taint. It's small, but vast.

I can see spending a little extra for a stronger case treatment/material (tegimented, duratect etc,) ,or a more accurate movement (chronometer) but the allure of an enamel dial eludes me. I suppose it's purdy if you look real hard at it, but other than that you're just paying extra because it's more labor intensive to create. Does it improve the watch in any way other than looks?

The Seiya example seems a bit large for a tonneau case. And expensive for a 6r15 tractor

IMO the date window fucks it up a little bit, but otherwise, it's a lovely watch with one of the best movements ever made by Seiko (obviously excluding GS and Credor). I like it far more than the round-case Presage models with enamel dials.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I have the SARW011..

The SARD007..

And of course, my favorite of the bunch(to date anyway) the Seiko SRQ019J1..

And Mr. Tik is correct, I have the SARW013 w/ the Urushi dial..
Image

I'm a big fan of this series, as one can tell..the sub-dials are indented areas on the main dial..the edges of that indentation fades in and out dependng on how the light strikes the dial face..I find that interesting to look at and the white lacquer surface should fade a bit overtime, adding additional character to the piece(s)..while I don't own the SARX051, I think it w/b a fine acquisition for those of us that have successfully managed their waist lines..because I am a little behind in that area, I think any tonneau would emphathize that failing..

I think you guys are confusing the 46mm lug to lug, the diameter is actually 35.9mm without the crown, or maybe I'm reading it wrong. Anyway, I kind of like it but don't have any tonneau cases myself. Price might be more than I would pay for what you get.
