Sites that picked up the Speedway/DD story...

Sites that picked up the Speedway/DD story...

Postby BigCheez » June 13th 2010, 6:50pm

Because of the exceptional investigative work of Koimaster, this was a weekend to remember. Here are the site that I am aware of that this topic dominated:

WatchLords (Broke story)
Watchgeeks (in spite of a huge rash of deletions and bannings, the story wouldn't go away)
BDWF (Thread started at 6:05pm Fri night and still going strong)
WTF (Multiple threads, eventually merged and still open)
WatchFreeks (Closed, but reopened and still going)

Are there any other sites I missed?

Koi has done a great service. Way back when I was sending the big I money by the truckload, I despised Koi and considered him a hater. He has done a great deal to educate people such as myself and is owed more than any of us could ever repay.

All the research you have done and the way you verify this stuff is a tremendous resource for any who wish to open their eyes and learn the truth...and for what it is worth, you have my thanks!!!

BigCheez forgets his own contribution to breaking this story at watchgeeks where it all started.

...even a broken watch is right twice a day. Thanks for the mention, my friend, but the real work was yours. I think quite a few people started to see the light after that episode.

This site's reporting - yeah, reporting, because that is what it was - on the Speedway/DD fiasco was one of the great accomplishments of this site. We looked out for the rubes who'd actually buy Chinese crap for a thousand dollars, and never got a thank you. Meanwhile, the Schmucks who sold that slapped together garbage lied and lied and lied ... and lost their cred.

We won. We always do.
12/16/18, Evine: Justin Zimmer and Todd Newton describee a $399 Chinese Bolt Zeus as a "grail" and a "masterpiece." Taking Christmas money from dummies? It'll catch up to you, you desperate weasels. It always does - and quick.
