The "neighboring town" thread was a ball-busting thread in response to the "watch to Europe" thread.

I like this guy's humor

The lady LAT and I have plans to visit the farmers market in an adjacent municipality and after seeing a few ruffians skulking around the organic radicchio and kale, I'm nervous about wearing my bonobo-themed masterpiece amongst the peasantry, lest they snatch it from my graceful, aristocratic wrist.

Should I lock it in the safe or dare I flaunt it at the peasantry and risk some popinjay stealing and pawning it to fund new rims for his hooptie?

Yeah, baby, these "What Watch Do I Wear To My Pilonidal Cyst Lancing & Impacting?" threads have been going on for like years now. They're to watch forums what the Archies and Phatkats are to actual watch experts.
I bought a dive watch from them that literally had “dive” in the name. The instructions said not to dive with it - it was only meant to LOOK like a dive watch. It was also fast by more that a minute per day. Garbage. Never again. - IWG buyer on Reddit

I liked this comment...
I periodically sniff a perfumed kerchief when I sojourn amongst the plebes. This has the dual effect of tempering their inevitable malodorousness and drawing down my sleeve, thus exposing whichever tasteful example of haute horology I happen to have paired with my raiment.
