10 Entry-Level Mechanical Watches

10 Entry-Level Mechanical Watches

Postby koimaster » October 31st 2018, 3:00pm

Every watch collection has to start somewhere, and often that initial watch purchase is on a somewhat restricted budget. Here’s an introduction to entry-level mechanical watches from 10 brands. To narrow the field down, we only considered men’s watches with a case diameter of 37 mm or greater.

The title of this article should have read Ticking Admission Tickets: 10 Entry-Level Mechanical Watches For Shitheels.
I checked you out, and I now want you to take the journey to lick my taint. It's small, but vast.

Indeed...the Seiko and Tissot are the only "entry-level"

The author is a complete tosser. Even the Sultan of Brunei would concede that a $20,000 watch is not entry level when compared to a $300 watch.

Following the logic, I wonder if the author thinks a $20,000 Kia and a $200,000 Porsche are both 'entry-level' cars?

I can't quite remember when exactly was the last time I saw that Krupp fellow write an article of any value. That's most likely because the blithering pillock never wrote anything of any value.

Fuck that miserable clot, fuck his article, and fuck Watchtime.

"Entry Level," and the first thing I see is a freakin' Oyster Perpetual.

This article was so bad anybody could have written it. Seriously.
Proof that quartz is still not only viable, but sometimes, something to covet: Grand Seiko.

I read it wrong the first time and assumed entry level, as just that. He confuses with some choices that are brand specific to entry within that brand. Other picks are from his opinion of a good watch, the Seiko is an example.

Very plausible.
I suppose that could be the case but much like a good joke it fails when an explanation is needed.

And if that was his intent he omitted the A. Lange Saxonia and Credor Eichi II.

IMHO, the words "entry level" and "Patek" don't belong in the same sentence.
And the fact I'm still living rent free in his head makes me grin and giggle.

...and I'll remain so until I see the Saxonia and Eichi II.

Though I'll allow him to make it "12 entry level watches".

Somewhat disquieting to consider that the Omega De Ville is an 'entry-level' watch..oh, well..

And he excluded anything under 39mm which lets him skip right over the Calatrava and others perhaps more worthy of an "entry level" list.

He's probably a closet Invicter fan.
