5 Green Watches Likely To Become Evergreens From Rolex, Chopard, Glashütte Original, Breitling And Hermès
by Sabine Zwettler

While blue is still on top in the world of watches (see Blue Vs. Green At Baselworld 2018: Green Isn’t The New Blue), we have witnessed the introduction of a great amount of magnificent green dials lately.

This new trend corresponds with the top ranking of green in the fashion color trend report of the Pantone Color Institute for spring 2018. This global institution in all things color has included the hue called arcadia among in its ranked colors for the year because “the rather cool and clear green hue is retro and modern at the same time.”

Besides, lively green symbolizes eternal renewal and growth. It is also thanks to this color that we feel free when we step outside into nature. Not surprisingly, green seems to be a new refreshing color choice for many watch brands transferring this positive attitude right to the wrist, urging us to seize the day.

Here are five vibrantly green newcomers using the expressive color to create horological excitement.

I like green dials.
Of these I like the Breitling the most. The Chopard is OK. The Herpes and the Geshundheit are vomit inducing. The Rolex sends me into a cabriole frenzy. They sure know how to put on the ugly when they try to get blingy.

Have to go with the Chopard on this one with Breitling next. The other 3 make me want to hurl and thats not a sport Canadians play on the ice.

I don't find any of these particularly attractive. In fact I think I'll take a pass on green dials in general.

None of those are for me. The Chopard is okay.

I have 2 that are very different green, nothing like Pantone Arcadia Green. Mine are far more casual or sporty.

but as far as green goes, it doesn't get better than this offering from the company that invented time itself and the color green.

If that Breitling would be sized at 40mm, it would be decent. At 50mm, it's not.

The rest of watches in the article... Well, most of them blow. Maybe the Glashutte doesn't blow as the other ones do, but in its own way, it also kinda blows.

Here are five vibrantly green newcomers using the expressive color to create horological excitement. Oh, yeah, Sabine? I have a vibrantly expressive tallywacker that uses its turgid staying power to create procreational pleasure. Can I be a writer, too?

What butt-ugly, overdone dials. That Rolex is so over the top I'd swear it was a fake. I think GO is beyond beyond, but that looks like someone dropped it. And that's the first selection of watches I've ever seen where a Breitling could be described as the most sedate. Someone here has a green Victorinox INOX; I'd take that over these any day of the week. In fact, I'd take all the watches you guys displayed over the ones in that article.
