I have not yet been able to ascertain whether True Facet is a decent place to buy watches online or is actually a front for another bunch of diamond district Frankenwatch-peddling shysters. I'm not casting aspersions - I honestly don't know what to make of it.
Since many people weren't in lockstep with his beloved cheese box shit watch brand, The Cruise King ran off blowing snot bubbles, far away from his once-beloved forum. Here, eat this mudpie, Paw Paw. It tastes like a Hershey bar. Go ahead, dig in.

For pre-owned contemporary watches, it doesn't look bad. For the few vintage pieces listed, it does.

For example, a few of their Seiko listings. They didn't bother to identify the year of production, while the well-documented Seiko serial number system would allow them to nail it down to the exact month and year of production! Well, it would allow them, if they weren't too fucking lazy to google it out.

Overpolished to a fucking soap bar, priced at north of 5 times its worth. No movement ID, no movement pictures.

Overpolished and overpriced. Same - no movement ID, no movement pics. Gold-plated Seiko for almost $1K? Fuck them.

Seiko 5 for 890 bucks? At the local flea market I'd get 11-12 Seiko 5's for that. Or 10-11 Tissots. Or 3-4 Zeniths. Fuck them in the ear.

As to the article itself, directing people to forums is not bad. Maybe except presenting Timezone as anything noteworthy. However, directing them to Hodinkee and its comments section is bad. Good idea, let's drive a newbie right into a sewer of a comments section, that's all sticky with the verbal spunk of all them morons, who know less than the authors of the articles there, who happen to know nothing.
RedBar...Dunno, I've never had the urge to join any collectors' association, so I can't say much about that. Well, maybe I can, in terms of the person they mention - a certain Ms. Rindler, head of the Miami chapter. I don't like watch peddlers calling themselves horologists or horology consultants, as IMO, they're usually so deep up their own arses, that it begs the question how are they still breathing, and when was the last time they've seen the light of day. And, I don't like her insufferably idiotic take on buying vintage watches.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I've heard they take pictures of the watch they are wearing and put it on the internet.

It's okay if they are doing it whilst fisting their partner.

And, they spend a lot of time talking about insider shit that nobody with any fucking sense would give a shit about.
I checked you out, and I now want you to take the journey to lick my taint. It's small, but vast.

The former. Maybe under the heading: "Diamond Geezers."

Well, Bring a Brain already covers Hoedonkeys, Theo & Whoriss, and there's still room for more, so I'll include them in the next instalment. And the more fleecers, shills, idiots and frauds to expose, the more fun it is.
