She's got pretty good taste IMO.

I'm just gonna sit back, smile to myself, and wait for when the inevitable responses to this one come rolling in.

I give the woman a 75 percent "bingo" mark.

Was OK, until the Cartier part. It's one of the most classic, understated dress watches, and she goes with "pretentious."

"Why do people even bother making square watches if it's not a smartwatch."
First of all, it's a rectangular case, as a square has all sides equal. Back to first grade, wee lass.
And why do they make them? Think for one second, thicko, for once make any use of that vacant mind of yours! Because that's the fucking way Cartier and other companies did it since the 1910s, when the worst thing that could happen to one was iperite, not being offended, and no one yet has even heard of anything quite as poofy as a smartwatch. Back then, if someone wanted disposable shite of a watch, they bought pin-levers, which - while usually shitty - at least didn't need a fucking charger.

Touché, or what?

Although I do agree. Girlfriends and wives should not even be allowed to come with an opinion on a watch. Of course that implies that one doesn't ask.

A list of exceptions:
1.If she's a WIS.
2.If she's attempting to save one from buying Invicters or Whoblows.
3.If she doesn't immediately recognize the worth of a watch. I'd be scared to death of a lass recognizing the worth of a watch, as I'm in no hurry to be a father by "accident", and someone's personal gold mine. Then again, what I wear goes largely unnoticed, so I need not be afraid. Well, all of that is valid only unless she'd be a WIS.
4.If in the past she managed to prove, that her advice on style is useful. In the past, I did take ladies' advice on choosing straps and matching watches to outfits, and it always worked well for me.

...and it's even worse than Part 1. Praise for Whoblows and Richard Mille, i.e. Invicters for Russian oligarchs.

Also, the Navitimer description - "diffuse a bomb?" Diffuse? Really?

She'd better have really, really nice tits. I still wouldn't like her, but I'd deal with it better.

Anyone who hangs shit on the Tank is ok with me.

Square, Roman numerals, and a blackhead on the side for a crown??? Ain't no excuse for that!

I bet it's a hairy old greaseball sitting in his undies (that probably look tie-dyed around the arse), pecking away one handed at his keyboard whilst rooting around for loose bogies with his other hand.

I agree with her thoughts on the Autavia, IWC and Tudor, don't get her animosity towards the Sea-Gull 1963 and the TH Monaco.

Well, "her", assuming that it isn't - as Bobbee suggested - a hairy and obese basement-dweller with sweaty balls, fueled by Mountain Dew and Cheetos.
