Policy Room-New political sub forum-updated

Policy Room-New political sub forum-updated

Postby koimaster » May 29th 2012, 7:31am

After reviewing some comments made in the last few days and prior about politics, I have started a new sub-forum which will only be available to members of a group interested in discussing politics. It will not be able to be viewed by non-members of that group.

So, if you want to discuss politics, and want to be made a member of that group, please let Noob or myself know.

thanks

I would like to be a member. Even though I don't participate in the political discussions that often I do like to read some of them every now and then.

Question: Will a non-member see the latest posts in the Portal listing?

No. Only members of that group will be able to see the portal listing. I had put you into the group but I can also remove you if you choose.

Hmmm...Unfortunate.

Due to the actions of one individual that is apparently incapable of restraint, those that do like the occasional (and reasonable) political discussion are faced with a binary all or nothing decision. So now we ironically try to legislate this behavior and affect?!

There are those that engage in these discussions with objectivity, to hear other opinions and perhaps, even adjust their own. Then there are those that continue to drone a single note oblivious to other positions, error, conclusion, or defeat. Perpetually locked in a loop, intoxicated with the sound of their own monotony. Opening threads only to provide a redundant platform to hear themselves yet again (and again). Or just simply not being able to sense when to shut the fuck up.

Not that he can see anyway.

Just kidding, I guess.

Alain,

Even though I've tried to put myself on hiatus from the "********", with mixed results (2 posts in 2 weeks), please sign me up so I can see the posts and keep up to date. I do feel better now that I''m not engaged in the back and forth as much, as it really is a waste of keystrokes anyway.

THANKS!

FTR: I did not.

I find some the best and most prolific political posters here to be reasonable and a joy to read. Despite your inflated view of yourself - you are not among them.

A fucking baby that hasn't posted since SEPTEMBER OF LAST YEAR starts this.

Exactly! Offer all you can eat and some will gorge themselves to death. It has nothing to do with agreement (but keep telling yourself that). Reasonable people don't want or expect 100% agreement - again you are not among them.

Is this REALLY necessary? I thought that the BattleZone, as the sandbox for all political fecal flinging, was isolated enough as it was.

Does the nanny state now have to protect everyone from seeing anything political?

It's the same idiocy that has transmogrified the freedom of religion into "It's my right not to ever read or hear anything even remotely religious or I'll SUE!!!!!"

Please. Some people need to get the sand out of their vaginas.

Hell, I'm in please.

But with respect to new posting guidelines, if Politics and Religion are now in the policy forum, what distinguishes BZ appropriate OPs from Anything and Everything Else OPs?

Or, more specifically, where would one kick off a Image thread?

And the fact I'm still living rent free in his head makes me grin and giggle.

I guess a random "Fuck [insert WL member here]!!" thread would go here too... although it seems a wee bit off to have a virtually empty Battlezone forum that has a subforum rife with content.
