Panerai makes clean break with ETA

Panerai makes clean break with ETA

Postby koimaster » January 16th 2018, 11:18am

Panerai will not use ETA movements in any watches launching this year.

Alessandro Ficarelli told visitors to SIHH today that the company’s entry level model, the 2018 44mm Luminor, will replace its ETA movement with a P6000 hand-wound in house calibre.

The price will remain the same at around £4090 when it hits shops in July

I've learned to not be a dick about Panerai--but for a company that asks five grand for their base model, an inhouse movement shouldn't be a heavy lift.
Jim...you are a ray of sunshine here.
