WYAW 11 October

WYAW 11 October

Postby Pubbie » October 11th 2017, 3:38am

Thought I'd pop this into your collective chemical toilet to see if it'll flush.

Hits a whole shit load of home runs - lovely discreet date wheel (admittedly the presence of one isn't a good start for some people) whose backing matches the chocolatey dial and has matching gilt numerics, now just your average crap ETA white date wheel. Hands are a perfect length. Great lume. No nibbled numbers. Sensible size very similar to the originals (only 1.5mm bigger, for a total of 40mm). Lovely and slim. Old and famous brand. Bloody aweome finishing for the (discounted) money including the movement which has perlage EVERYWHERE and has never deviated by more than 4-5 sec/day. Strangely never took off, even as a one-off underground favourite. The brown, diesel, manual wagon of watches. Why is that?

Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and you'll have his shoes.

Some lovely stuff here. I have a hankering left over from the 1980s for an Ebel Wave, and the hands on that Hamilton... whoa!!
