Back in the day

Back in the day

Kind of a fun read for some of us old timers. I just killed 10 minutes poking around.

I remember lurking at this forum right after joining BDWF then WGs and thinking to myself that you all were a bunch of grumpy old bastard haters. In time I learned you were right.

All new to me! Fun stuff to be sure. It's like finding the origins of a bunch of members here. Hats off, gents.

WTF was my first watch forum though it was the newer incarnation and mainly in the "beginners" section where I and Baby Jesus bounced off each other in a quasi-entertaining manner.

OMG, dont even remember the rank of "Apostle". Really sounds like JBHII though.

Sure were a lot of old timers on there that are still around today. Guess thats what makes them old timers. Duh.

Wow, the archive was created before the formation of THE Official Hamilton Forum, modded by the rooster and yours truly along with a lot of help from EddieA and others. I have had some conversations with vendors who advertised on that forum and all were screwed by the forum owner in business dealings eventually.

Happy days. A stroll through the "old" tz uk from 12-14 years ago when I visited there was a pleasant experience. These days it's just a small bunch of the same, sad unemployed old men moaning about "the spirit of the forum" and passing the same tedious watches around one another like a loosened-up groupie at an Eagles concert whilst hissing in the direction of the free market. A motif for the country as a whole, really
