My dog got it in the snout!

Postby DBCooper » May 1st 2016, 12:05pm

Big Boy got in the right side (left side in the pic) of his snout by a Copperhead today.

After all, no ham-wristed louts complained when all watches were 34mm - no cries of "looks like a little girl's watch on my wrist!" Like King Canute on the beach, that's where I draw the line - come what may.

Vet gave him a shot of Benadryl and a shot of steroids. Antibiotics for 7 days. If his lip doesn't start rotting off in a few days, he should be good to go...

Maybe you can get a couple fancy schmancy straps from the serpent.

Hope Big Boy learned a lesson!

Hope Big Boy pulls through. Copperheads are abundant in Georgia and like landscaping in suburban environments. I have dispatched one or two on my property.

My cat Molly Brown cornered one a few years ago. I dispatched it with a handy shovel, and she carefully watched as I buried the remains. Gave the ground a sniff then trotted to the house.
Good kitty!
