What happens when a brand dies? HMT Watches, India’s government owned watch company sold more than a 100 million watches before it shut its factories in 2016. It was once a symbol of a rapidly industrializing India, but what is the legacy it leaves behind today?

HMT is history. Someone needs to get on the air and address the populace of India and tell them to move past this, that there's a great big future out there, just waiting for them to reach out and grasp it. And then they could end the broadcast on an "up" note, saying,



"Now GO du, that HIN-DU, that YOU DU, SoooOOOOOooooo WELLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!"
