Grande Seconde Ceramic by Jaquet Droz

Postby Racer-X » August 26th 2017, 7:40pm

by Lena Michaels "How do you redefine a collection, keep it relevant, and yet safeguard its identity? Jaquet Droz may well have the answer with the new Grande Seconde additions in black and white ceramic. Inspired by a Pocket Watch created by Pierre Jaquet-Droz in 1784, the crisp-clean lines of the Grande Seconde continue to live on and evolve. The design is instantly recognisable, with its overlapping sub-dials shaping the figure 8. The first to be encased in ceramic, the new timepieces make for an ultra-modern addition to the collection.

I like this one. It's quite classy, beautifully styled, and no doubt impressive on the wrist. Of course, for eighteen grand, Jaquet Droz can suck my dick--but I still like it.
Jim...you are a ray of sunshine here.

This one looks good, but I like the Jaquet Droz bird watches better - who doesn't like cute birds on the dial? Can't say I can ever afford those bastards however

I like its different than what they normally do.
I've never felt like I truly belonged here and I believe it's time I move on.

Why does the dial match the strap? To quote a rooster...

FTF'nW and FTF'n bird W

Droz. Nice engineering, but a way too expensive Swatch brand.
