New Blancpain Villeret Day-Date

Postby Racer-X » June 7th 2017, 8:41pm

by Editor "This elegant day-date from Blancpain’s Villeret collection was introduced at Baselworld 2017, and it’s been in my head ever since. The watch is practical in function and simply beautiful in form. The stainless steel case measures in at 40mm in diameter, with a stepped bezel. The matte-white dial features leaf-shaped cut-out hands, with small seconds at 6 o’clock + day of the week and the date at 3 o’clock. The day change is instantaneous, while that of the date is semi-instantaneous."

Not a big fan of day-date but that is a noble piece.

Sacrilege perhaps, but it feels Credor-ish

I don't get why they slap 'Swiss Made' on a watch of that calibre. Everything on that watch is superlative...except that text.

It's a bit like painting "Italian" across the bonnet of a Ferrari.

Funny, I never thought of it like that but you have a good point. I think I agree.
