Mid-70s 19 jewel Jinji/金鸡 day-date at the AMCHPR

Mid-70s 19 jewel Jinji/金鸡 brand from Shanghai Watch Factory.

Not easy to find in good condition, but they're around occasionally on Taobao. ZJSH model code stamped on the wheel bridge for the in-house day-date calendar movement based on a modified ZSH/SS7 Tongji.

The date's set for next week, Wed the 1st. Setting the day date is...really tedious...without a crown winder (coming), but as a daily wearer it'd certainly work well enough.

The strap is a just-installed NOS era-appropriate "Sea Lion high grade stainless steel strap" by Jinyun Watch Strap Factory.

That's a nifty watch and the bracelet is a great match. Nice addition to your collection.

While I look forward to all your postings, A-T (and this one was no exception), this sentence, for some reason, made me smile quite broadly.

Thanks, Conj! I was grinning when I wrote it. And when I translated it :-)

That watch is really cool, I'm a sucker for watches with that type of date/day layout.

That case back looks like it needs a clean, I usually pop the (water resistant?) watch in my mouth for half an hour to loosen the crud... :D

@AT
The watch is lovely. Noteable is also the extra dust cover. :D
