Hoist a glass at the AMCHPR!

Hoist a glass at the AMCHPR!

Because now we can do it in style :-)

I was cruising Taobao for VCM stuff, but not watches. Looking for boxes, hang tags, manuals...whatever I might find...and I found these, in the original box, six of them. Seller says 70s or 80s.

Shanghai Diamond Watch Factory drinking glasses. I don't understand exactly what I'm reading, but I do read enough to know these are Shanghai Diamond Watch Factory, for sure. That's what the bottom line says.

But the top line...I can read the two middle characters but not #1 and #4. And, why they were made, I'm not sure, so if anyone can read everything on these, or has any more information, please let me know. Even if I don't find out...I'm thrilled to have them!

First pic is the seller's pic, and the second (sorta) side by side is mine.

If I learned nothing else from my trip to China it was the meaning of two words:

gan bei

Cheers on the nice find.

Certainly tops the JP Wiser's Whisky glasses I scored at the liquidation place the other day. If ever in Peace River, I'm buying.
