Lost and Found: LSE cufflinks

Lost and Found: LSE cufflinks

Postby AlbertaTime » January 22nd 2017, 10:37pm

I don't toss any watch related stuff out much, but I do lose stuff--seldom, but it's happened. One such case was my inability to find a set of cufflinks given to me by Marco/WUS member "marockong" aka KooNing, when I visited the Tianjin Watch and Clock Collector's Association in Tianjin in 2013. Always felt horrible about that.

But...I found 'em!! Today :-)

The posts are embossed with his name. The movements are early 1980s VCM Shanghai Watch Factory LSE ladies watch movements. And I'm happy and very grateful.

Glad you found them. Quite the conversation piece and I know they hold sentimental value for you as well.

Yup. They do. Marockong (whose most usual nickname is "Marco," actually, is one of the friendliest people I've ever met--and we bump into each other every trip.

Thread by thread, still intact ;-)

In fairness, I'm always amazed by where I've been these past few years :-). I certainly never expected or planned any of this back when I first went looking for a new watch.
