Christopher Ward shocker...

Postby Rusty » July 4th 2017, 2:44pm

I became an early fan of British/Swiss watch brand Christopher Ward London and at one point had quite a few of their watches. Early on I purchased a returned GMT CWL Trident diver and the hands did not align properly. Contacting CWL customer service was an eye opener since the person in charge of that department (I think early on, the only person doing customer service) was Wera Mettes. She was a saint and Chris Ward's significant other as well. She helped me numerous times along with many other CWL customers.

So, imagine my shock when I saw this posting on the CWL forum: http://www.christopherwardforum.com/vie ... =1&t=44006

Dang! She was tops at CS. Her attention to detail exemplified CS. That's a real loss to CW.

I only had one issue and it wasn't even a mechanical one, yet she went the extra mile for me.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the logo

Damn.

I never had a problem with my three CW purchases but she went way over the top... more than she needed to with two of them to make sure I stayed a customer for life.

I hope her replacement has the same attention to customer satisfaction that she did.

They're very kind folk over at CW, and I hate to see them take a hit like this, even though they've priced me -- and quite a few other CW fans -- right out of our ability to buy any more CW watches, even during their well-known 20-70% off sales...eh-wot, wot-wot.

She was great, but sounds unplanned, otherwise why all the drama and the CS is left to Chris?
