Nice day for a walk.

Nice early fall day today. Certainly can't be counted on in these parts. So I decided to get off my ass and take a hike rather than watch football all day. Just south of Mt. St. Helens, deep in the heart of DB Cooper country, lies the Lewis River. Follow the trail and you'll encounter about a half dozen waterfalls within 3 miles. Water volume in the river now pales by comparison to the flow you see during meltoff or heavy rain periods.

This is a big ass Douglas Fir tree, (I think). How big is it? That's a Coke can I set up there for scale.

So where's the wrist shot? Here it is.

Goddamn it, Mark, you're like the Teddy Roosevelt of Watchlords. Those are some great pics, and that's also a really fucking big tree, too.

Beautiful. I love the way the Coke machine is made to look like part of the scenery.

Thanks guys. The elk are around Cod, saw some tracks, but they're laying low this time of year.

Great photos. We have some fine lens jockeys in this place.

Those nature shots really are spectacular - framable at the least.
