Proper introduction. :)

Proper introduction. :)

Postby Professir » March 8th 2017, 10:23am

Good morning fellow watch aficionados! Having enjoyed horology for many many years, but only being able to afford teasers, I am waiting (not so patiently) for next week, when I will be ordering my grail watch. But a side story is in order for preparation.

I was a pastor for my "first" career of 20 years, and as such feasted on the eternal rewards life presented (read- I was poor) and indulged in affordable alternatives to the watches I really wanted. Never really having the craving for precious metals, or watches that third world countries use as yearly budgets, I have always wanted an automatic movement, sapphire crystal, SS bracelet, from a maker that eats white cheese and doesn't copy THOSE guys. Now, I spend my waking hours staring at 5 computer screens and talking to the world as an auto insurance adjuster....and they PAY me! :D

SO, early next week, I will be ordering a Hamilton Khaki King 40mm Day/date on a bracelet. (Yeah, I know its a "beginners" entry level, almost worth noting but short of special).....but its a BIG deal to me! I am looking forward to the beauty and life's adventures. I know I will have to pocket carry it on my motorcycle (another long story, but suffice to say its not a modern Buick with an air ride).

Cant wait!

Ray

Hidey-ho!

Nothing wrong with that Hamilton at any level. You will enjoy it.

As far as pastoral salaries, I take it you didn't take lessons from the likes of Creflo and his ill gotten gains?

Now, this one was a play on words. A pun, if you like.

I can see I'm going to have to spell things out over here.
