New to Forum so Hi!

Re: Hello

Postby Jmason » February 1st 2017, 10:41pm

Hello, I'm a new member as of today.
This is a relatively new passion since retirement. I've always had a watch but never dug into the different complications until recently. My current collection is not very large and I don't see it getting much bigger at least today. :)
Current: Victorinox Air Boss, Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso, Omega Speedmaster Man on the Moon, Omega Seamaster GMT Great White, Longines 1950 Square 23z movement. Casio Altimeter/ Barometer, and a Garmin GPS golf watch. I've been looking at a Oris Big Crown, a Cartier Roadster or a Longines Lindbergh Hour Angle

Welcome mnmz and Jmason. Jmason, select Board index, scroll down to General Forums, click on Welcome! Introduce yourself, select new topic and introduce yourself in another thread. Just a friendly tip for a new member. Both of you should realize a little ball-busting is standard for new guys so keep that in mind, it's almost entirely in good sport. Again, welcome, hope you enjoy your stays here.

New to Forum so Hi!

Postby Jmason » February 3rd 2017, 9:09pm

Found the site while searching for info on Redbar in Portland, Oregon. I've always worn a watch but never really considered collecting until I retired. I had been looking for a watch that would give me elevation and Temps while riding my motorcycles and ended up with a Casio. Now that I picked up the disease, I now also own a Garmin golf watch, Victorinox Air Boss, Jaeger LeCoultre Grande Reverso, Longines 1950 Tank, Omega Speedmaster Professional Man on the Moon with a moon phase, and a Omega Seamaster GMT Great White. I don't see myself adding more to this collection at least today. Tomorrow who knows. Jim

Welcome again Jim. Sounds like you've quite a nice collection started there. Don't know what Redbar is but you mentioned Portland, there are quite a few members here from Oregon, including Alain who started and runs the forum.

You have to be invited by another member after that member has established good standing. You can't just ping for an invite.

Are you a member there? I just sent Adam Craniotes who is the RedBar founder an email in regards to this.

Dumb question. What is RedBar? I'm too lazy to Google it.Or let me rephrase. I don't really care enough to Google it but if someone wants to chime in I'd appreciate being spoon fed.
