Introductions

Postby hkuser » January 6th 2016, 8:41am

I couldn't find a section on formal hellos so I hope this sub forum is okay for this post since most of my watches are Seikos. I have been a lurker for the past year on the lords forum but didn't feel anything worth to add and in addition I was quite hesitant because of the "edgy" nature of the conversations but of all the watch forums on the web I enjoy this one the most because of the information offered and the zeal of its members.

I recently saw a post on the Marinemaster and I had to make my first post commenting on how I appreciated seeing the inner workings of the 300M. A fellow member proceeded to state his welcome and invite me to make an introduction and show my watches so here I am. I just started getting into serious watches a year ago so my knowledge and collection are limited but hope to learn more and more importantly collect more.

My first serious watch is the aforementioned 300M Marinemaster:

I love this watch. Solidly built and exudes understated class.

Don't listen to our recent bunny above ^. Seiko is not all "that" and anyone that wears one is a dick.

I defer my possible welcome to the more tenured members than myself.

My apologies for the order of the pics. Not really familiar with the posting procedures.
The Sumo is my daily driver, very well built and solid but I don't stress about the punishment that it might take if instead it was the Marinemaster.

That's weird. I usually reserve the term "dicks" to those flashing their rolexes who shrugg off my Marinemaster thinking they have a superior watch than me. ;)

Welcome. You must have been smiling when you saw the pictures of the MM movement.
There is a lot of Seiko knowledge here, keep the collection growing and pictures flowing.

Thanks for the pics. I am surprised to see you don't have the bad-ass Seiko Monster. Well done, keep it that way!

Wilkommen, bienvenue, welcome, come on in...glad to have you here, Mr. Haich Kay User! Don't worry about the "edge" thing, as the vast majority of us are pretty cool dudes (or dudettes, as the case may be), and the few asswipes we do have are such dillweeds that they don't really know they're asswiped / dillweeded wads of fuck. You'll find out who they are pretty quickly, and you will soon be laughing at them as much as the rest of us do.

Soooooo...do you go by HKshooter over at WIT? If so, well, then what fatman sez (above) pretty much covers how you're gonna be received here... :?

Guys, I've already got some broken drywall ovah heah...
