Review: Greyhours Vision Moon – Say It’s Only a Paper Moon

Postby Racer-X » February 24th 2017, 5:25pm

by Victor Marks "There have been many simple, minimalist watches made, all claiming to be the quintessence of a beautiful, reductionist watch. Greyhours Vision Moon is one such watch, with a completely different approach.

Most minimalist watches follow a very simple formula. Three hands, minute markers around the periphery, which the minute hand touches, hour markers and potentially hour numerals just inside of them so that the hour hand indicates which hour it’s on with absolute clarity. It’s a solid formula, one in use for easily 65 years. But what if there were another way?"

After all my ranting about the minimalist trend?

Wow. i don't hate this one. Seems the quality is good, the straps look more than fine, and the design takes a chance. And it's certainly not overpriced.

S'miracles can happen. I kinda like it. Don't know if I'd buy it, but it's one I'd like to see in real time.

I did not, yet, but distinct possibility, really like it. Wish it were a tad thinner.

All i know is that you've been kicking ass of late, Racer, with your great posts. And the idea of eddie picking up one of these is the icing on the cake. Yep, this one is not so bad.

Ya gotta remember my main quibble with the minimalist thing is people are selling watches with $4 movements and $9 cases for $150. This watch certainly is a cut above all that; the entire presentation is really impressive. I liked that model in black, too.

Are we looking at the same watch? While this one doesn't exactly make me vomit my fucking guts out, I don't see anything that makes my dick twitch, either. To each his own, I guess.

Found a discount code for a free spare strap if you order any Greyhours watch.

Add watch and spare strap to cart, then add code freestrap0417 in cart to get free strap.

Greyhours Vision Moon (watch in the OP)

Spare straps (the first one, VSCS Black 01, is the OEM strap for the Vision Moon)
