Another couple of Ebel chronos..

Another couple of Ebel chronos..

Postby Thunder1 » December 1st 2017, 4:24pm

Still can't shake off the compulsion to add Ebel chronos to my collection!!...this 1911 chrono arrived today..about a 40mm SS case housing the then in-house calibre 137 movement..hopefully, these will do me for awhile..

Last week I picked up this chrono with the calibre 134..a modified Zenith El Primero movement..also has a SS case about 40mm in diameter..

Very cool, Thunder. Your collection is just rocking, and these only add to it. You're a real collector with a heck of an eye.

Awesome.
One regret I have over the years of watch accumulating is not buying a white dial Discovery quartz for a great price. at BJ's Wholesale about 10 years ago. The batery was showing EOL and they wouldn't give a discount so like a fool I got pissed and walked away.

I remember you having posted something to this affect earlier..for whatever reason, in general, the Discovery chronos haven't seen the depreciation that the 1911 series has....

Not quite my cup of tea, but they have something nice about them, especially the first one. Besides, with an El Primero under the bonnet, one can't really go wrong.

Out of curiosity, how many Ebels do you have? I must confess that I haven't even tried to count.

These two are a nice addition to a collection, which is already beyond fucking impressive. Keep it up.
