Finally, the elusive Seiko 4s15 titanium diver

Finally, the elusive Seiko 4s15 titanium diver

Postby svaglic » September 7th 2017, 6:53pm

A great day, I finally found a Seiko 4s15-7000. I have been a day late on being able to snag one of these for the longest time. It has been a frustrating hunt, but I sent funds today, I should have it in two weeks.
I know it isn't in good form to show off a watch that I don't have yet, but I just have to.

It doesn't come with the box or the bracelet, I'm cool with that. It also has a scratch on the crystal, but I think I can take care of that and the pip. I paid less than half of what I have seen others go for.

Pictures are from the seller.

Not as perfect as I would like, but not too shabby either.

To me, this watch is IT. This movement in this watch is beyond awesome.

Coming from a reputable seller from Italy. Yes, Italy. Now I stress for two weeks.

Cooler than cool. Good for you, sv. Like to see a "finally" finally become reality.

I am so excited right now. I wouldn't mind getting the white dial too. This movement is such a score for me.

When I read about the movement, I wanted one. I looked at various Seikos it was in and didn't like the SUS or Laurel. The Alpinist was nice, but when I saw a 40mm dive watch had it...the hunt was on.
Yema put it in one of their Sea Spiders, I'm keeping a lazy eye open for one of those. The Yema is a great looking textured dial, but 42mm.

Those are cool as hell all the way around, especially that little hi-beat-Very cool to see you catch one that's been getting off the damn hook for so long.

Holy shit! I've been looking for one of those off and on for years, congratulations to you!!!!

As a 4s15 Alpinist owner, I've always wanted one of the divers to have another example of this tremendous movement. Super happy for you, the movement alone is worth owning!

All week the tracking page has been saying transit 30 days. Today it says transit 5 days. Since the 9th it has been showing it is at the international trade center. So I'm not sure if the tracking page is tracking the location anymore. I guess I just have to hope I'm home when it comes. Lucky for me, my mom retired from the post office here and the people call me when I have packages to see if I want delivery or pickup. It usually works out well for me.
I've never had an international package track all the way to me.

Way-to-GO, Al! You've become quite the bird-dogger, finding both this one and that Grand Seiko some time ago. It's always cool to see a friend come across something they've really wanted and so very much deserved, as well...will very much look forward to seeing some wrist shots and some comments as to how you're loving it. As I say over on the non-swearing forums, enjoy the H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks out of it, Al! Well damned done...
