MILITARY DIVER 300 SWISS AUTOMATIC

For some time now I have been wanting an orange dial diver but ever since I sold my original Deep Blue orange Pro Sea Diver I have not been able to find one I liked in my price range or with a shade of orange that I really liked. Since I loved the color on my departed model, I decided to give Deep Blue another chance. Behold the Military Diver in all its splendor.

316L Stainless Steel Case Brushed Finish –Sides Polish Finish.

1000FT/330M Water resistant.

Screw down crown and Case back.

120 Click Easy grip unidirectional Bezel.

12 O’clock lume Pip on Bezel.

Sapphire Crystal, AR coated - Scratch resistant.

Blue Superluminova Hour markers, minute, Second Hand.

Sunray Dial , Raised hour indices.

Helium Release valve 9 o’clock position.

The sunray dial is very nice and a good shade of orange but my choice would be my old watches matte dial.

44mm width, 51mm Lug to Lug, 14mm thick

I am always amazed at how well large cased Deep Blue watches fit my small wrist.

Inside is a Sellita Sw-200 Swiss Made Automatic Movement

28,800 VPH , 26 Jewels, Incabloc with Date. Running at +4 a day for the last 3 days.

22mm Soft Natural Rubber “Hydro 55” Strap.

20mm SS Screw Buckle, Stainless Steel Keeper w/ 2 additional Rubber Keepers.

Many people are against this watch claiming it is a rip of of the Seiko Turtle. I wanted a Turtle but for some reason could never pull the trigger on one. Much happier with this one. Sorry for the dust on some of the pictures and also the clear plastic is still on the dial and caseback.

While the case is similar to the Turtle, it's also similar to a lot of vintage divers. I think it looks bad-ass, and you're not going to go wrong with the SW-200. Nice pickup!

Also, as Carl has taught us, orange is the bestest dial colour!!

Won't get AR sapphire or helium valve on the standard turtle either. Nice one Max.

Nice watch for the price. DB, for whatever reason, is able to make larger watches wear smaller.

Don't pooh-pooh those photos - I've never seen one of those on an actual wrist before. Now I can tell they're not nearly as gargantuan as they'd seem.

I think it looks great, and trust me, if the movement is sound it'll run just fine. And heck, about the photos: I can't take a decent watch picture to save my life. Every time I get the right focus and the right sizing, after its shot there's speck here or a some stray stuff there or whatnot. The pics are just fine.

Uber cool pick-up, Herr Max! I am the very happy owner of the DB Sun Diver III (in the same ORANGE), and its appearance and operation have been flawless in the two+ years I've had it. In fact, as I mentioned to you in an earlier post, I need to wear the danged thing a lot more than I do, as it's a great watch...at any rate, I hope you enjoy the hell out of yours for many years to come! CONGRATS, mon ami... 8-)

Thanks everyone.

I have always liked Deep Blue watches and have never had a problem with any of the them that I own or have owned. Not really a low cost model Seiko fanboy so this one was a no brainer for me in comparison to the looks and specs of the competition. Im sure many will prefer the Seiko but it would be a dull world if we all liked the same things.
